Assembly Atlanta is a creative hub built on the grounds of a former General Motors Assembly Plant. Assembly Atlanta has state-of-the-art studios and sound stages, with a wide array of exterior filming locations, all wrapped up in a convenient location with options for a wide range of filmmakers and content creators.

A Landmark Display That Commands Attention

Assembly Atlanta needed a powerful way to promote all their on-site offerings. They decided on a bold, 140ft, 14 story screen which towers above their premises. This statement piece catches the eye of any passersby taking Interstate 285 and makes a powerful first impression on visitors, while giving the studio the opportunity to promote their offerings, share events, run adverts and more.

Powering Performance at Scale

Running on our powerful content management software, StudioDX, this collaboration between ourselves at Acquire Digital, Capital Signs, Bailey Construction, Nanolumens, and Traxon Lighting, resulted in a striking media tower with a custom shell, LED video display boasting over 5.2 million pixels, and dynamic lighting.

To keep high quality video playout from the bottom of the tower all the way to the top, we collaborated closely with our partners to develop a dual-resolution LED solution. By intelligently reducing LED density higher up the tower, we preserved the clarity of the display while reducing structural load and optimising cost-efficiency.

This approach ensured the screen delivered crisp, high-impact visuals without compromise, regardless of scale.

At the core of this system is StudioDX, our powerful content management platform. Designed for complex, fixed-install environments, StudioDX enabled seamless playback across the dual LED configuration. Content could be easily adapted, split, and synchronised to ensure perfect alignment and consistency across both resolutions.

The result is a robust, future-ready digital signage solution, ensuring Assembly Atlanta’s media tower performs as impressively as it looks.

Since installation, this brand landmark has greeted every visitor to the studios and made a lasting impact on thousands of daily I-285 travellers.
