Product Feature Comparison
Acquire’s core products have different features, but are all interoperable.
For example, Acquire SOLO is primarily a stand-alone player with a built-in browser based editor for local editing, but by purchasing the Editor, all of the normal Editor features become available, including being able to control multiple players from one location, and the SOLO player still retains its local editing function too.
Another example is the Software as a Service (SaaS) solution we call Signage2Go. This is primarily a simple to operate web-based editor to allow you to control remote players from each location. By purchasing the Editor and using the PLUS! Network you can create a Hybrid of more advanced centrally controlled systems (with all the normal Editor features and the ability to lock specific pages, pre-upload approved media, and specify templates to be used), with the (simpler to use) location based web editor of our SaaS solution.
All of Acquire’s systems can also use the PLUS! Network Service which provides many other features including high speed encrypted data transfer for updates, Tracking of hundreds of healthcheck items for automated monitoring and alerting, Secure remote access for support of players, Audit trails and Ticket-based knowledge base, Proof of play reporting, and much more. *1– Templates for SOLO use can be created at any time with the Page Plugins and Project Plugins pre-defined and the use of ‘variables’ allows further configuration on the SOLO Editor. These can be built by the customer purchasing a copy of an Acquire Editor, or we can create them for you for a small fee.
*2 – Acquire and Signage2Go players and plugins are capable of using and displaying content in any language (including all Unicode based character sets). However due to the scale of the main Acquire Editor program and Plugins, these are currently only in English due to the costs of translating and maintaining these and their documentation as we release up to 10 new (minor) versions a year. However, if a client has a large enough order and requires it in a specific language, we will make the necessary changes at no cost.
*3 – Player Synchronisation was first developed by us in 2004 and is in most cases frame accurate (with SD and HD Videos, Flash and Images). It is used in many locations across the world and is even in use in Escalators with ‘slip synching’ using the unique ImageFlow program we created for Esprit Digital, the company who produced the London Underground escalator panels.
